Cheshire East Council recently led a successful bid to secure up to £900,000 of European Social Fund (ESF) and Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) funding to:
- Support unemployed young people to get an Apprenticeship, a Traineeship or help them move back in to education;
- Enhance careers services in schools
- Boost, in collaboration with employers, skills and growth across the borough and beyond.
The project is a collaboration with both Warrington and Cheshire West and Chester Councils to deliver a two-year BeInspired careers information, advice and guidance project across Cheshire and Warrington, promoting our high-growth and key technology sectors to young people.
The project will help to raise awareness of the career opportunities within Cheshire and Warrington by providing a range of resources to assist young people to make better career choices, aligned to job opportunities, in sectors such as rail, engineering, advanced manufacturing and life sciences.
